Expansion details

Guerdon said the Colorado facility is still being considered. The company is actively vetting existing buildings that meet its requirements.

The new factory is intended to support growing demand for affordable and efficient housing in Colorado.

Company background

Innovatus Capital Partners acquired Guerdon in 2020. Since then, the sponsor has aimed to build Guerdon into a multi-plant operation.

Tommy Rakes became CEO in July 2022. The company said his experience in multistate volumetric modular operations will help accelerate the expansion once a location is identified.

Colorado context

Guerdon pointed to projects such as the Gauge Apartments in Durango and the Market & Struthers developments in Grand Junction as examples of modular construction in Colorado.

The company also said it received funding selection from the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority. Guerdon described this as evidence of state confidence in its plans.
