How to Winterize Your HVAC System for Maximum Efficiency

1. Clear leaves, dirt, and twigs from around the outdoor unit. Keep airflow unrestricted.
2. If the outdoor unit is a heat pump, use a stand such as an Everstand to lift it above snow and ice.

4. Use programmable thermostat settings to lower temperatures while asleep or away.
