Wesco’s Manufactured Structures team created a custom retrofit data hub for a leading provider of mobile offices, portable storage containers, and modular units. The solution was unveiled in 2020.
The client had been cutting into walls to move power and data outlets. This caused project delays, complex rebuilds, and reduced profitability.
Wesco developed and built multiple prototypes of the retrofit data hub. The prototypes were evaluated at customer locations across the U.S. before release.
The retrofit data hub includes networking capabilities. It can be preconfigured for temporary or permanent modular spaces. The customer can relocate it without damaging the space.
The solution gave the customer a new technology-enabled offering for its users. It helps meet increasing demand for more powerful data and communications solutions.
