Background in modular construction

Steve recalls early modular construction methods. Homes were connected to an I-frame underneath, called frame-on. Cranes were not used to set homes. A robotic system or tracker moved modular homes into place.

He specialized in Craftsman-style homes with a 6-12 pitch roof system. These homes were typically 30' x 53' and included a front porch.

Development experience

Steve turned a plot of land in Waxahachie into a community of seven lots. That work taught him entitlement, construction, and development. His interest in helping others led him into consulting on funding for development projects.
