US Frame Factory (USFF) is a Louisiana-based cold-formed steel solutions company founded in 2021 by brothers Tiago and Mateo Atwi. It designs, manufactures, and sells metal stud and track components, wall panels, and trusses.
USFF serves homeowners, commercial developers, and other customers. Its recent work has been mainly commercial.
The Metairie project was a five-story apartment complex with a concrete podium on the first floor. USFF supplied over one million pounds of steel for the walls. The materials were pre-cut to reduce labor and construction time on site.
For the Metairie project, USFF used market timing to help the owners buy steel at low prices. It also shipped materials on demand from its New Iberia yard. Deliveries could be as small as 10,000 pounds at a time.
USFF is building more of its pricing and product information online. In April, it launched an e-commerce website at clips.usframefactory.com for framing-related components.
The company also plans to launch a second version of its metal stud pricing platform later in the year.
The founders say they want a more data-driven construction supply chain. They also aim to return to modular construction after strengthening their engineering and manufacturing operations.
