Quinta Brunson to Receive the EMA Futures Award

Quinta Brunson honor

EMA will present Quinta Brunson with the EMA Futures Award.

Brunson is known for Abbott Elementary. She is a Primetime Emmy, Golden Globe, SAG, and NAACP Image Award-winning actress.

EMA says the award recognizes young industry professionals for influential voices and a commitment to a greener lifestyle.

EMA also noted that Abbott Elementary included a climate change reference in a recent season and previously received the EMA Paul Witt Comedy Award at the 2022 EMA Awards Gala.

Brunson said she is honored to receive the EMA Futures Award. She said she cares deeply about the environment and wants to use her platform and comedy to inspire change.

EMA awards and mission

EMA says the gala celebrates environmental achievements in entertainment and productions with green practices. It also highlights films, series, and documentaries that support environmental justice, climate action, and sustainability.

EMA CEO Debbie Levin said the EMA Green Seal has become a global standard in green production.
